Bruges Christmas Markets
Venice of the north
A Dash to Medieval Bruges and its Famous Christmas Markets
With its network of canals Bruges is known as the Venice of the north, making Bruges a popular place to visit all year round. The festive season in Bruges includes Belgium's oldest Christmas Markets with over 130 stalls.
As well as the cosy Christmas atmosphere there's the horse drawn carriages, a multitude of shops selling fine Belgian chocolates, coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
A visit to Bruges wouldn't be complete without a guided boat tour or a horse drawn carriage around this beautiful Medieval city.

Depart your chosen pick up point and travel to the port of Dover where we have a short break before boarding our ferry to France. Once aboard the ferry you have plenty of time to explore the bars, restaurants and shops. After a 90 minute drive from Calais/Dunkirk we arrive in Bruges where the rest of the day you're free to explore the Christmas markets, shops, bars & restaurants.
If donning a pair of ice skates isn't your idea of fun then maybe take a tour on a horse drawn carriage or one of the many canal boats with English commentary.
The sights, sounds and smells of over 130 Christmas markets should keep you busy until 5.00pm when it's time to make your way back to the coach park and say goodbye to Bruges as we drive back to the channel port and sail back to Blighty.
Arrival back in Dover should be approximately 21.00 before retracing your steps back to your drop off points. All times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed.
