Our hugely popular ski weekend to Gérardmer, France is back.

Leave on Friday and travel overnight by coach and ferry, arriving in Gérardmer on Saturday morning and ready to hit the slopes. You have a full day of skiing on Saturday and Sunday.

This trip is perfect for skiers and snowboarders looking for a great-value ski weekend with minimal time off work and maximum time on the slopes.

Gerardmer

Gerardmer is the perfect place for that cheeky weekend dash to the slopes whether you're restricted for time or finances. On average 70% of all our skiers are returning customers, some travelling with us more than once every season. While Gerardmer is only a small ski resort it's popular with all skiers alike, whether they're accomplished skiers or beginners. The ski resort is perfect for our weekend getaways. The coach park is just 60/70 meters from the ski hire shops, the lifts, bars and restaurants.
Coach Innovations have been operating weekend ski trips to Gerardmer since 2014. For many people it's a second ski holiday or it's the only opportunity this year to hit the slopes. Within minutes of our arrival, one of our staff have a line of chairs lined up outside together with our portable changing room (Well, tent anyway) at the same time you're waking up to bacon butties and coffee served by your hostess.

Accommodation Options
Choose your own accommodation to suite your own style, location and budget. You have two choices of location, either stay in the Gerardmer, customers who book accommodation in Gerardmer can use the regular free shuttle bus from the slopes to the town, giving you the freedom to travel to and from the slope at your own leisure.

Alternatively, travel with us to the nearby town of Epinal, 40 minutes drive where hotels are plentiful at more competitve prices. Join us at the Premier Classe budget hotel Just a tip, skip the hotel's continental breakfast and have a coffee & a bacon buttie from your hostess while driving back to the slopes.

We will drive to Epinal around 5:30pm on Saturday and then leave Epinal at 7:45am on Sunday morning ready for the slopes to open at 9am.

Beginners
Gerardmer is popular with first time skiers where the lift pull and learner slope is completely free of charge. Information regarding booking skiing lessons can be found by following this link, however many people find it useful to search 'Skiing for beginners' on YouTube prior to travelling. We can offer a £50.00 refund for beginners who are only intending to use the learner slopes or children just going sledging. ​​​​​

General Information

Ski hire
Due to limitation of space on the coach you can bring your own ski and snowboard for an extra £10 per person. There's an abundance of ski hire shops next to the slopes at reasonable prices. Ski hire shops are open from 08:30. (You can bring your own boots) Ski and boot hire range between 20/30 euros.

After booking feel free to join our customer Whatsapp group, where I'm sure our returning customers will be happy to share their knowledge of the resort and various sku runs with first time travellers.

No Snow
Gerardmer has always had a good snowfall record, we have never had to cancel, but you never know. If in the unlikely event there is no snow we will cancel and give a refund apart from £40 which covers the pre-booked ferry etc.

Our Adventure

Depart from your chosen pick up point and travel to the Port of Dover.

Our Ferry will sail from Dover at 19:40 arriving in Calais at 22:10 local time.

Time to snuggle down as we head through France, Belgium and Luxemburg. We arrive at our ski resort approximately in the early hours Saturday morning.

Time to errect our portable changing rooms (tent) and maybe have a hot bacon butties and a coffee while the driver collect the ski passes before hitting the slopes.

The ski hire shops are on the doorstep.

The rest of the day is yours.

There is a regular bus service from the slopes to Gérardmer the town centre and whichever hotel you are in it will only be a short walk.

Our coach will leave at the end of the day and travel to Épinal and you can travel with us and then we make our way back to the slopes the following morning.

We depart Gérardmer around hours and travel back to Blighty.

Arrival back at Dover will be approximately 2am. (All times are estimated and cannot be guaranteed).

We will travel back the way we came arriving back in Birmingham around 07: 30.
